Here’s small glimpse at a program I’ve been working on. I recently added the coloured circles around the edge to strike a contrast from the flowing structure of the inner lines. For me, I think the circles represent opportunities one might come across or discover in one’s life. The structured lines represent decision paralysis.

The piece relies heavily on Perlin noise, trigonometric functions and for the first time I restricted all colours used to fill shapes using a function for each colour dimension (hue, saturation, value). This made it a lot easier to constrain the colours to ones that I thought were quite appealing.

Below are some shots I took of a single seed.

The piece is animated but I haven’t figured out how best to show a piece such as that.
